As a Biodiversity Officer for Galway City Council, David leads local initiatives to protect, restore, and promote urban and coastal wildlife habitats across the city. Working at the intersection of community engagement and environmental science, David collaborates with local groups and stakeholders to implement the Galway City Biodiversity Action Plan. 

Dr Fran Giaquinto CEnv MCIEEM:

Dr Fran Giaquintp is an independent plant ecologist specialising in invasive species. Since 2010, her work has centred on prevention, early intervention, and environmentally safe control methods. Recent projects include a five-year invasive species strategy for Galway City Council (2025), an EU risk assessment of Cherry Laurel (2026), and an ongoing five-year prevention strategy for Mayo County Council.
