Galway Waterways Heritage Talk

Phil James' 'Canal Walk, and Talk' is on the evolution of Galway’s rivers and canals, and their role in powering Galway businesses over the last 500 years.  The Walk and Talk begins with a presentation about Galway’s waterways including a video animation showing how the rivers were re-engineered over the years, and a collection of historic photographs. The walk progresses along the city’s canals pointing out places of historical interest, particularly those associated with milling and power creation.
